According to a source speaking with US Weekly, "Reese hasn’t been out on too many dates, but she’s been set up with a few friends of friends."

The site also noted that the source revealed that Witherspoon is "taking things very slowly."

US Weekly also spoke to a second source, who noted that Witherspoon was never anticipating being back in the dating pool after she married Jim Toth some time ago.

That source specifically used the adjective "surreal" to describe Reese dating again after 12 years.

"In an ideal world, she’d love to meet someone special in 2024 and eventually settle down again," the source said.

However, that source noted "for now, there’s no pressure" for Witherspoon to find love sooner rather than later.

Back in November, rumors were swirling that Witherspoon was linked to actor, Kevin Costner, but this proved to be false. False rumors also surfaced that Witherspoon was linked to former NFL star, Tom Brady.

"The rumors are completely false," a rep told US Weekly.

The pair met at a party, when Jim came to her rescue.

"It happened out of the blue. This really drunk guy was hitting on me, making such an idiot of himself, yelling at me. He was, like, [slurring, scowling, pointing finger in her face] 'You don't know me.' And I was like, 'Yeah, I know. I don't know you!'" Witherspoon revealed to Elle.

"Jim came over and said, 'Please excuse my friend. He's just broken up with someone.' Jim was a really good friend, pulling him out of that situation. That's just kind of who he is, a really good person," she added.

According to PEOPLE, things really got rolling between the former partners back in 2010.

"Witherspoon and Toth first sparked dating rumors in February 2010 after they were spotted having dinner together in Santa Monica. By that December, they were engaged," the site reports.

The pair were married the following year, and while they seemed to have a good thing going, things soured, and a few days before their anniversary, it was announced that their union was over.
